MVB Students Work With The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus To Create Original Music!

Queens Village, NY On September 27th, 2018, students from Martin Van Buren High School in Queens Village, New York came together to create an original song and music video in one single day on The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus presented by OWC. Seniors Tawni Haris, Trenice Johnson, Dinelle Martin, Teren Washington, Junior... and Sophomore... worked together to write and perform "Culture" on the grounds of Martin Van Buren High School long unto the night. 
 
The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus is a state-of-the-art mobile audio and HD video recording and production facility. In its 21st year, the Bus continues to provide young people with tours of the studios, participate in free digital media production workshops, and produce giant peace signs. Assisted by three on-board engineers, the Bus travels the nation visiting schools, conferences and events, partnering with communities and media outlets to call attention to the importance of arts and digital media education.

Update - Panel for Educational Policy Meeting Information

On March 5, 2021, the New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE) posted a proposal to open and colocate a new high school site of the existing multi-sited District 75 school, P.S. Q177 (75Q177), in building Q435, to be called P177Q@Q435, beginning in the 2021-2022 school year. Q435 is located at 230-17 Hillside Avenue, Queens, NY 11427 in Community School District 26. This letter is being amended to update the date and teleconference information for the meeting at which the Panel for Educational Policy (PEP) will vote on this proposal.
